Establish Contact Protocol

All communications handled with maximum discretion and plausible deniability. Our methods are unconventional, our responses are unpredictable, and our coffee is always black.

SECURITY LEVEL: PARANOID

Select Your Cover Identity

Choose how you'll appear to casual observers. Remember: the best cover is a boring one.

Compose Your Message

What would you like to communicate? Be specific, but not too specific. Actually, be vague.

Tip: Include references to weather, sports, or grocery shopping for maximum plausibility.

Final Verification

Prove you're not a robot, a government agent, or our competitor (who are also robots).

Emergency Protocols

If you need to abort contact or believe you're being watched:

  1. Use your panic word in any communication
  2. Leave city immediately via public transport
  3. Check for surveillance (look for repeated faces)
  4. Contact nearest safe house
  5. Await further instructions (may come via pigeon)
Remember: If in doubt, order a coffee and look confused. It works 83% of the time.

Operational Security

To maintain cover and avoid detection:

  • Vary your routines regularly
  • Use cash for all transactions
  • Memorize contact details, don't write them down
  • Check for tails (people following you)
  • Never discuss operations in the open
  • If using electronic devices, assume they're monitored
CURRENT THREAT LEVEL: ELEVATED BUT MANAGEABLE

Expected Response Times

How long to wait before assuming we forgot about you (we didn't, probably).

Urgent Communications

24-48 hours via emergency pigeon or bakery code. Look for specific pastry orders.

Use only for actual emergencies, not for asking if we got your last message.
Standard Inquiries

3-5 business days via newspaper personal ads or dead drop. Check Sunday editions.

Response may be disguised as lonely hearts ad or furniture for sale.
Non-Urgent Matters

1-2 weeks via library book exchange or park bench drop. Exercise patience.

We recommend bringing a book to read while you wait.
Pigeon-Based Communications

Variable (depends on bird motivation, weather, and local cat population).

Some pigeons have developed what we call "independent contractor syndrome."
